Stress and pressure can have terrible effects on all ascpects of a person's life, physically, emotionally and spiritually. It's critical we employ ways to reduce stress levels to lead a more healthy and comfortable life, on all fronts. Below you'll find some healthy strategies to reduce stress.
Develop positive, healthy relationships. Surround yourself with people who are upbeat and supportive of you. Take a look at your relationships. Limit the number of negative, draining ones. If you have seriously toxic relationships that are close in nature, consider getting counseling to address the issues for yourself.
Aim for goals for healthy living and clean living, which will greatly impact your overall health. Be careful however, not to put more undue stress on yourself even in this goal. Pay attention to your body, sometimes it gives strong signals to heed, such as if you are experiencing heartburn, you may want to look more deeply into if it is a case of simple heartburn versus acid relux disease or GERD, stomach pains, headaches and other symptoms that frequently are associated with high levels of stress, and seek medical advice.
Consider eating more natural, organic foods and focus on getting, pure clean drinking water. It creates more stress on our body's when they are overloaded with processed, chemical laden foods and water. The more natural sources tend to be restorative to our health.
Get, regular exercise, especially if you can combine it with getting fresh air and some sunshine too, that boosts Vitamin D absorption and a great mood lifter. Exercise not only helps keep us fit, burns off calories, great for our cardio health and many more benefits, it also helps to reduce stress by releasing endorphins, which make us feel good. Its also a good way to burn up anxious energy, instead of fuming in stress.
Incorporate more laughter into your lifestyle. It's an effective stress reducer, and releases endorphins to lifts a mood. Visit a comedy club with friends, watch a funny movie that makes you laugh, surround yourself with joyful things that make you smile. There are laughter clubs to engage in.
When stress does hit, try briefly journaling about it to process your fears, give yourself permission for a set amount of time (set a timer if necessary). Consider worst case scenarios, sometimes when thought about, really aren't the end of the world. See if you can find solutions, or where to seek expert advice in the areas that trouble the soul so much. When the timer ends, determine that you won't dwell and fume on this any longer, until you give yourself processing permission again. Now go and do those things to relieve and release the stress.
